The Surroundings of the Eyrie
Description
The Eyrie is settled in a peaceful region of Glacia, high in the mountains that rival the mountains of Askavi. It's seated by a lake and is shadowed by the ice-capped peaks of the mountains and is generally a serene retreat that Allistar uses primarily in the winters.
External of the Eyrie
Description
The Eyrie, externally, is a beautiful wood-built home with a stone surround. It's seated on a lake high in the mountains of Glacia, and is home to Allistar during the winter. It has a fireplace, modern amenities and has lots of room for him to fly, hunt, and find his meals. He has a full wrap-around porch in the back and oftentimes has creatures wander up to his porch, seeking food and solace during the winter months. This is also where Kaelan likes to spend her time when she and Allistar are together; the Arcerian cat likes the warmth of the place and the fact that it's shielded in Ebon-Gray.
The Kitchen- kitchen image, breakfast nook, dining place
Description
The kitchen is perhaps Allistar's favorite place of his eyrie. It's equipped with all the modern necessities, including a full island, a stove/oven, and glass-fronted cabinets. He personally installed a separate, glass-enclosed dining place for himself and added in a breakfast nook, so if he has guests, they can be comfortably seated. There is no formal dining room in the eyrie, so he made sure that anyone who came to his home- including himself- could dine comfortably either indoors or outdoors. The glass panes of the dining place can be opened and almost completely removed, leaving the indoors to themselves and allowing the outdoors to come in. This is Kaelan's favorite spot to sunbathe, so he usually leaves the back door open and allows her to come and go as she pleases. The Ebon-Gray shields around the eyrie keep it safe from intruders of lighter Jewels and generally insures the security of his winter home.
The Living Room- sitting areas, the fireplace
Description
The living-room is a warm room meant for comfort and relaxation. Several couches and chairs, padded with cushiosna and pillows, are seated in a comfortable arrangement optimal for viewing the fireplace. Rather than have a TV, Allistar hung an artwork picture of Lucivar Yaslana that shows the Eyrien Warlord Prince with his wings spread and Eyrien war-blade dripping with blood. A gory image, but somehow settling and peaceful. The fireplace is frequently made to warm the room with witch-fire that dies after Allistar's Ebon-Gray Jewel comes close to being drained. It overlooks the mountains of Glacia and is equipped with blankets, pillows, and a table.
The Library
Description
The library, though small, is a cozy space made for reading, enjoyment, and pleasure. Though many think of the Eyriens as simple-minded brutes, Allistar has visited his sister, Hakaisha Shoku, near the Keep enough times to gain entry into the Keep and learn from its ancient historian, Geoffrey. He's been allowed to borrow texts and replace them with better copies, keeping the better copies for himself after ensuring the older ones are returned to Geoffrey. The librarian/historian prefers the older copies, since they hold more history better than any new-bound book ever could. Allistar respects the scholarly ways and is known to sit down for a few hours and read a good book. He prefers non-fiction novels, though he does occasionally enjoy one of fiction.
Allistar's Room
Description
Allistar's room is a tranquil space wherein he can catch a peaceful rest. The blankets and pillows are white and crisp, usually clean when he returns home courtesy to the hearth-witch he'd hired to watch over his space. A lamp and small table sit beside his bed, naked of a headboard, and a small seat sits at the foot, where Kaelan usually sleeps. The room is relatively blank-walled aside for some images of his family and the people he'd loved. He also had a work done in an almost exact copy of Jaenelle Angelline, trusting Witch to watch over him and keep him safe in his sleep. Ever since he was a boy, Allistar loved hearing stories of Witch from his mother, knowing who she was and what she did. It thrilled him to see her every morning and thank her for the blessing of the Blood, leaving them untainted and free to go about their lives again. An odd memoir, to be sure, but it was one that felt right to Allistar.
Allistar's Bathroom
Description
The bathroom is similar to the bedroom; it's unadorned, made mostly with whites, but is ultimate in comfort. Allistar installed a standalone shower and cascading water head, and the wood floors feel like home. He's equipped it for himself and no one else, so it doesn't have the appearance of company; a single towel hangs on the rack made from an old ladder, and the chair is simply there so he can rest if he drained his Jewels that day from fighting or other activities.
The Guest Spaces- bedroom, bathroom
Description
The guest spaces are relatively left alone, since Allistar doesn't have many visitors in Glacia. He's equipped the bedroom with all the necessary items, including a dresser, and the bathroom is pleasantly equipped while still being a narrow, relatively small room. He made sure to leave windows and a large set of opening doors to the porch in the back if his guest decided they needed a drink of fresh air, but since no one really visits, this room is relatively left alone.
